Stis and syphilis screening preg women china

Posted November 8, 2011

A recent study has revealed that almost half of pregnant women in Southern China do not get tested for syphilis and not only that but this is happening in areas that have recently seen a surge in sexually transmitted infection.

The WHO found that over 40% of approximately 125,000 pregnant women were not tested for the infection in 2008 and seemingly this was all down to a lack of funds for the health services.

The lack of screenings was also reported to be down to the women’s own lack of awareness regarding the prevalence of STIs.

STD Tests For All

Posted October 4, 2011
The soap or detergent could be one of the factors why people acquire NSU. This is due to the allergic reaction of the genitals to the chemical content of the soap or detergent. For the females, they usually experience vaginal itching which when scratched, rushes appear where bacteria could live and grow. The reddening and itchiness of the genital skin is the symptom that you are having an allergic reaction with your soap. Women should choose the genital soap that has a moderate ph balance to avoid irritations and other bacteria that cause disorders. If the bacteria go deeper inside your vagina, the urethra could be largely affected because this is one of the canals of the vagina. If this happens, the urethra would be inflamed leading to Mycoplasma NSU. There are treatments for mycoplasma NSU of course. This is because the technology never stops in innovating tools that help the physicians in identifying microorganisms that are inside the body. When these bacteria penetrate the body, they are more difficult to cure because they could inhabit the vital organs. If they are not stopped immediately, the bacteria multiply inside the body which could weaken the body’s immunity. The human body when weaken by bad bacteria is very frail to fight against disorders like STD, syphilis, and other harmful disorders. In addition, there are government organizations that conduct surveys and give free STD tests to people in order to help the people find out if they are healthy physically and mentally.

HPV Vaccine

Posted July 11, 2011

The question of whether men should receive the HPV vaccine now relates to the cost of the vaccination. It is now about whether or not the vaccine will be paid for insurance companies or by the individuals themselves as it is too expensive if left for the state to pay for. The CDC (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention), at least 50% of those who are sexually active in the US population will be infected with the nasty virus at some time in their lives and can be spread through oral sex, anal sex, vaginal sex and other forms of sexual contact. It is the very main cause of cervical cancer in women and condoms will not save from the spread of the virus. This is the reason that men should be vaccinated. Condoms will lower the risk so even doing this is vital if you are not abstaining from sexual activity. The American Cancer Society state that pap smears actually reduced the number of deaths due to cervical cancer and cancer of the uterus by 82% between the years 1931 and 2004. Between raising the awareness of the importance of regular pap screenings and getting the cost of vaccination right down so that men and women both get the jab, the ever increasing spread of HPV may eventually come to an end.

Not compromising with quality

A sexually transmitted disease is a serious affair. It should not be taken lightly because it is an issue of life and death. It is not just any other sickness because STDs are highly contagious and even deadly if left untreated. That is why utmost care and attention should be given to the testing and treatment of STD. Seeking an STD Test

Posted March 27, 2011

My brother is a priest who is assigned in California. He was ordained a priest ten years ago. After spending his first five years as a priest in Africa, he was asked by his congregation to come back. He was assigned as a chaplain of a pastoral institution that takes care of people who have sexually transmitted disease. It was not that easy for him at the start because he finds the assignment quite sensitive. Though he underwent training for this, he still finds it emotionally difficult because it will be his first way of being the in the real world. In his first two years, he was counseling those afflicted with sexually transmitted disease. It was emotionally draining for him at the start. However, he found fulfillment in his assignment because he was able to reach out to people who are often neglected and rejected. He was able to talk to prostitutes, hookers, former pornstars and even ordinary people who were suffering from different sexual diseases. Part of their program is their reformation. A year ago, he asked me to help him. One of the things that we did was to accompany some hookers who decided to change for an STD tests. The online STD test is part of the program. It will make the person feel that he is ready to change. If one finds out that he has a sexually transmitted disease, it will open her eyes to the challenges that await her in the process of her reformation.

Awaiting the STD Test Result

Posted February 1, 2011

My brother was recently promoted as the supervisor of the IT Department of their company. He has been with the company for twelve years. All those years, he dedicated himself in helping the company realize its vision. Before he was promoted, there was something that he found different. He was asked to submit several requirements including an STD tests result. Since he never heard of a certain policy, he inquired from the Human Resource Department. He found out that a year ago, the company started to implement the policy for those who will be promoted to supervisory positions. He found it intriguing and told his closest friends about it. He finally learned that the company implemented the policy to safeguard its moral integrity. Two years ago, a recently promoted department head was found out to have been unfaithful to his wife. It was discovered that he had been womanizing. Later on, the person concerned was infected with a sexual disease. When the wife learned about it, he filed a complaint to the company. The company sided with the wife because the man became a disgrace to the company despite his excellent performance. In order to protect the moral integrity of the company, all supervisors would have to undergo an online STD test. As required, my brother had an STD Test a day after he was informed about his appointment. He was anxious about the results not because he was unfaithful. He was assuming that a person who never had sex with anyone can have a sexually transmitted disease. When he tested negative with it, he really got a sigh of relief. He can now start working hard for the position that he worked hard for.

Orientation on STD Test

Posted December 31, 2010

One of the leading computer companies in the state of California informed all employees that there will be a health orientation for all its employees. Incidentally, my brother works in that company. When my brother told me about it, I was somehow perplexed. Usually, it is not an orientation. It must be a check-up. My brother told me that they hold an annual health check-up but they learned that the orientation will be a little different since something new will be introduced. A day after he attended the orientation, my brother happily told me that indeed there was something new. Aside from the usual health check-up, they will all undergo an STD tests. The STD Test is the one that I was anticipating that will perplex me. I asked why do they have to undergo an online STD test. My brother told me that everyone was surprised when they were told about it. During the orientation, they were all enlightened by the purpose of the STD Test. The company just wants to make sure that everyone is healthy in all aspects. Actually, another additional test that they will take is a psychological test. For the company, my brother added that the approach is holistic. For the company, the human resource is above all the most important or priority of their company. Without them, the company will not be able to survive. The STD test according to my brother must not be construed as a threat but as a help. What people need today is help not threat. This is what their company is doing.
